Focus on operating mission-critical cloud infrastructure, maintaining Kafka-based messaging systems, and improving platform standards, runbooks, and scalability.

What you will do
- Implement infrastructure abstractions that translate service-team requirements into infrastructure-as-code parameters and production deployments.
- Deploy and operate VPCs, compute pools, storage, Kubernetes clusters, and supporting network infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain managed pub/sub messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Consume and improve cloud infrastructure-as-code modules through operational feedback and enhancement requests.
- Write production-quality Java code with security and engineering best practices built in.
- Participate in code reviews, infrastructure standards, operational runbooks, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of software development experience with Java or similar languages.
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals, including clean, testable code and reliable system design.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience deploying and operating software in a cloud environment.
- Comfort with the Linux command line and a solid understanding of networking and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools such as Terraform, Argo CD, or equivalent GitOps tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
