Java Production Support

Location: Bangalore, India. Shift timing: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM EST.

What you will do

• Provide L2 support for Java-based production applications and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Investigate issues using application logs, monitoring tools, database queries, and code-level analysis.
• Coordinate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, middleware, database, and business teams on complex incidents.
• Monitor application health, batch jobs, interfaces, scheduled processes, and post-release functionality.
• Conduct root cause analysis, prepare incident reports, and identify patterns to prevent recurring issues.
• Support problem management, change management, release activities, on-call coverage, and critical incident response.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in application production support.
• Strong experience supporting Java/J2EE enterprise applications, including the ability to read and modify Java code.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, microservices, REST APIs, and high-volume customer-facing applications.
• Proficiency in SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Experience managing critical production incidents and major outages, with a good understanding of ITIL processes.
