Founding Forward-Deployed Engineers (LegalTech)

Location: New York, New York; on-site

Base pay: $170K–$250K per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build end-to-end software solutions for major customers by understanding pain points, defining product specifications, and delivering high-quality implementations.
• Own a portfolio of in-house legal accounts from onboarding through adoption, expansion, and renewal.
• Drive product adoption through enablement programs, success plans, regular engagement, and usage optimization.
• Advise legal and operational leaders, align the platform with client goals, and identify new use cases.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal Engineering, and Marketing to convert customer feedback into roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market improvements.
• Design and operationalize a scalable customer engagement playbook.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Forward-Deployed Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, or in a related role within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurship or high-ownership experience in an unstructured environment.
• Strong empathy and emotional intelligence for working directly with customers.
• Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships, driving adoption, and delivering commercial outcomes.
• Ability to work effectively across customer success and core software engineering responsibilities.
