Field Installation Supervisor (Robotics)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; on-site field service at customer manufacturing sites and Path's Columbus facilities. Travel 60–70%, including overnight and multi-week stays at customer sites, with travel within North America required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end installation of robotic welding systems, including rigging, equipment placement, mechanical assembly, alignment, electrical wiring, device integration, and safety systems.
• Supervise and develop field deployment crews by assigning work, setting daily targets, and verifying workmanship.
• Coordinate riggers, electricians, millwrights, and other subcontracted trades, including scope review, scheduling, and quality acceptance.
• Plan site readiness, utilities, rigging, material staging, tooling, and installation schedules before deployment.
• Own installation quality, documentation, punch lists, deviations, schedule tracking, and handoff to commissioning.
• Improve installation processes through standard work, checklists, site playbooks, lessons learned, and root-cause corrective actions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of field installation experience with industrial equipment or automation systems, including at least 2 years leading crews or trades on customer sites.
• Working knowledge of mechanical installation, rigging, alignment, anchoring, 480V industrial power, controls wiring, terminations, and device or safety-system integration.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and site layout plans.
• Experience with LOTO, job hazard analyses, fall protection, permit-to-work processes, and safety management on active industrial sites.
• Clear customer communication, strong organization, and the ability to run multi-week installations with minimal home-office support.
• Valid driver's license, willingness to travel 60–70%, and ability to travel within North America are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic systems, welding equipment, or capital equipment installation.
• Experience with lean tools, standard work, or root-cause methods such as 5 Whys or 8D.
• OSHA 30, rigging or signal-person certification, or electrical licensure.
