Data Solutions Engineer (AI)

Location: US (Remote); willingness to travel up to 60% to work on-site with customers is required.

What you will do

• Partner with customers to diagnose data challenges and design integrations, recurring workflows, and custom reports.
• Deploy and optimize AI-powered tools and workflows, and explain prompt engineering and LLM capabilities to customers and internal teams.
• Build importers, parsers, reporting pipelines, and internal tooling to reduce manual work and improve platform reliability.
• Perform custom SQL reporting, bulk data operations, backend queries, and bespoke data operations.
• Own API schemas, ingestion cadence, error handling, Snowflake data shares, and database connections.
• Identify repeatable customer patterns, translate them into product requirements, and support small engineering fixes affecting customer workflows.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, data engineering, or technical account management.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, ad-hoc analysis, and relational data models.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience designing, consuming, and debugging REST API integrations.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, or similar data warehouse and pipeline tools.
• Strong communication, ownership, and ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM workflows, AI-forward tooling, or configuring MCP servers and AI agents.
• Experience with Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar data integration tools.
• Exposure to fund accounting, investment data workflows, B2B SaaS, fintech, venture capital, or private markets.
• Finance or Computer Science degree.
