Engineering Tech Lead – Taiwan (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Define and evolve architecture for cloud security products, including data ingestion, processing pipelines, detection services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives from system design through production delivery.
• Design high-volume telemetry systems with strong scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency guarantees.
• Establish service boundaries, data contracts, API standards, integration patterns, and engineering standards.
• Partner with Detection Engineering, Security Research, and Site Reliability Engineering on production capabilities, observability, resilience, deployment safety, and operational readiness.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while contributing code, prototypes, design documents, and technical reviews.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience, including technical leadership of large-scale or business-critical systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native SaaS platforms, distributed systems, or large-scale data products.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, high-volume ingestion, stream or batch processing, distributed pipelines, event-driven architectures, APIs, backend services, and data storage.
• Ability to lead ambiguous multi-team initiatives, diagnose complex application, data, and infrastructure problems, and make pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of reliability, observability, performance, security, and cloud cost management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity, identity security, threat detection, SIEM, observability, or security analytics products.
• Experience with security events, audit logs, detection engines, rule execution, correlation systems, or behavioral analytics.
• Experience applying machine learning or generative AI to security or large-scale data analysis.
• Experience building engineering organizations or platform capabilities during rapid growth.
• Experience working in Taiwan or with globally distributed APAC teams; Mandarin proficiency.
