KYC Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid role with three days per week in the office: Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day of choice; extra remote time may be requested.

What you will do

• Review consumer documentation and perform due diligence to support timely onboarding.
• Verify identities, assess customer risk, identify red flags, and escalate high-risk cases.
• Manage a daily case queue while meeting productivity, compliance, quality, and SLA targets.
• Support customers primarily by email throughout verification and activation.
• Conduct periodic customer reviews and reassess information when risk triggers occur.
• Analyze PEP, sanctions, and adverse-media screening matches and resolve false positives.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a similar role, ideally in a startup or financial sector.
• Experience in a high-volume, metrics-driven KYC or customer support environment.
• Direct experience or comprehensive training in AML and KYC procedures.
• Fluent English required.
• Strong problem-solving, customer service, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Italian.
• Customer care experience.
