Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere; relocation to Germany is not required. Madrid HQ, Spain.

What you will do
- Manage accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare and review financial reports in NetSuite, including intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare German VAT returns, annual financial statements under HGB, and corporate income tax returns.
- Review bookkeeping performed by junior accountants and coach team members on daily accounting matters.
- Maintain closing controls and support external audits and tax inspections.
- Coordinate German accounting requirements with the Global Accounting team.
Requirements
- Senior-level accounting experience, preferably in an international, complex, or fast-growing company.
- Strong knowledge of German accounting standards, HGB, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing annual financial statements and corporate income tax returns.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Experience reviewing accounting work and guiding junior colleagues.
- Fluency in German and English, with strong communication and attention to detail.
