Product Engineer (Mobile)

Location: New York, United States, or US remote. The role is listed as on-site and involves working with the NYC headquarters; a final in-person interview is held at the NYC HQ.

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity. The final offer varies by market location, skills, experience, and education or training.

What you will do

• Build core mobile infrastructure using Kotlin, Objective-C, and Swift.
• Develop and maintain SDK wrappers for React Native, Flutter, Capacitor, and other cross-platform frameworks.
• Push the capabilities of location services on iOS and Android.
• QA and debug SDK behavior in real-world environments.
• Work on infrastructure deployed to hundreds of millions of devices and handle large-scale traffic.
• Talk with customers and prospects, incorporate feedback, and help deliver successful implementations.

Requirements

• Experience building mobile infrastructure.
• Ability to work across mobile stacks rather than identifying exclusively as an iOS or Android engineer.
• Interest in speaking with customers and prospects and helping them succeed.
• Curiosity, persistence, and the ability to solve difficult technical problems.
• Experience with Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Android, iOS, or mobile SDK development.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technical co-founder.
• Previous SDK development experience.
• Experience with indoor positioning.
• Experience with background location, Doze mode, Wake Locks, background execution limits, app standby buckets, or foreground services.
• Experience with FusedLocationProvider, GeofencingClient, or beacon monitoring and ranging.
