TL;DR
IT Systems Lead (AI): Building and operating the identity, device, SaaS, endpoint security, networking, and office IT systems that enable an AI-first company to scale with minimal operational drag, with an accent on automation, auditability, and Mac-first infrastructure. Focus on implementing centralized access controls, automating onboarding and provisioning, maintaining near-complete MDM coverage, and supporting SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 readiness.
Location: New York Office
Salary: $150K–$225K per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Own the company’s IT systems across identity, devices, SaaS, networking, endpoint security, and office infrastructure.
- Design and implement centralized identity and access management using Okta or an equivalent platform.
- Build fast, automated, and reliable onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access-review workflows.
- Manage the Mac-first environment and scale MDM with Jamf or Kandji while enforcing patching, security baselines, and device compliance.
- Resolve employee, system, and on-site IT issues while eliminating recurring problems through scalable automation.
- Support SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audit readiness through reliable infrastructure and documented controls.
Requirements
- End-to-end experience owning identity, devices, SaaS administration, endpoint security, networking, and internal systems.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Okta, Jamf or Kandji, SentinelOne or CrowdStrike, VPN/ZTNA/Tailscale, and SaaS provisioning workflows.
- Experience turning ad hoc IT processes into scalable, automated systems.
- Practical security judgment across access controls, endpoint posture, audit readiness, and business speed.
- Strong communication skills, including documenting decisions and partnering with Finance, Security, and GRC.
- Experience supporting a Mac-first, in-person company of approximately 100–500 employees is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 programs.
- Experience working in an AI-first company and applying AI to automate IT operations.
