Japanese/Korean Localizer & Writer

What you will do

• Translate and localize in-app learning and marketing content between Japanese and Korean for the Japanese market.
• Review, iterate, and polish localized content through QA to support an effective learning experience.
• Design and write lesson scripts, activities, and vocabulary lists for learners at different proficiency levels under manager guidance.
• Support content operations, including script uploads, lesson QA, and project coordination.
• Follow manager direction, complete projects, and maintain clear communication with international colleagues.

Requirements

• Native Japanese and native or near-native Korean writing and hirify.globaling skills.
• Deep understanding of Japanese and Korean language learning, including the current state of Korean learning in Japan.
• Demonstrated experience in Japanese–Korean translation and localization.
• Experience in Korean teaching, language pedagogy, or curriculum design.
• Working proficiency in English, strong attention to detail, ownership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for an average of 15–20 hours per week with a reasonably regular schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience working in educational technology.
• Experience using AI tools, including LLMs and content-generation tools, to create pedagogically aligned learning materials.
