Platform Engineer

Location: New York City HQ or remote within the United States

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity and potential performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and secure hirify.global’s infrastructure, developer platform, and data systems.
• Develop highly available systems targeting 99.99%+ monthly uptime and supporting more than 1 billion API calls per day.
• Create self-service build, test, and deployment infrastructure, observability improvements, data pipelines, and automation.
• Build platform capabilities including IAM, feature flagging, application rate limiting, and developer frameworks.
• Enable test automation, security, compliance, and safe AI-assisted development across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product engineering, SRE, data, QA, sales, and customer-facing teams while incorporating customer feedback.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of coding practices, system design, and infrastructure technologies.
• Generalist engineering mindset with willingness to work across multiple technology stacks.
• Experience in a high-growth startup.
• Interest in speaking with customers and prospects and helping them succeed.
• Ability to participate in the on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technical co-founder.
• Experience with high-throughput, high-growth SaaS applications.
• Experience building or operating geospatial infrastructure.
