Inventory Accountant (Ecommerce)

Location: Berlin, hybrid working environment

Salary: €60,000–€68,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory variances.
• Record inventory adjustments, write-offs, reserves, landed costs, and cost of goods sold.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, audits, and inventory provision calculations.
• Review inventory movements across warehouses, fulfillment centers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Document and improve accounting controls while contributing to finance transformation and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in inventory accounting.
• Experience in ecommerce, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience; NetSuite is preferred.
• Professional fluency in English, together with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon FBA inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of 3PL warehouse operations.
