AR Accountant

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working environment.

Salary: €62,000–€68,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Apply customer payments, reconcile cash receipts, and maintain accurate customer accounts.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue balances, and perform AR aging analysis.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and disputed invoices.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and prepare audit documentation.
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and prepare ad hoc reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in accounts receivable.
• Experience in ecommerce, retail, consumer goods, or multinational organizations.
• Strong knowledge of AR, billing, collections, and cash application.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP experience; NetSuite is preferred.
• Professional fluency in English, along with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Shopify, or ecommerce marketplaces.
• Experience with Stripe, PayPal, Amazon Pay, or similar payment platforms.
• Knowledge of multi-currency accounting.
• Experience in a multinational environment.
