Senior Test Software Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (PLC/C++)

What you will do

• Develop, qualify, release, debug, and maintain test engineering software for testers, AOI systems, cell controllers, robotics, and conveyor systems.
• Design and troubleshoot PLC programs and automation applications using Visual C++ and Visual Basic.
• Integrate conveyor control systems with factory equipment, including CC-Link networks, I/O modules, sensors, motion controllers, vision systems, and vacuum systems.
• Support installation, commissioning, validation, and upgrades of new conveyor and test automation systems.
• Develop data acquisition, alarm handling, and real-time machine status monitoring modules while tracking OEE and uptime/downtime metrics.
• Investigate production issues, conduct system studies, participate in 8D, FMEA, and Test Strategy meetings, and drive software and process improvements.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in software development, manufacturing automation, or conveyor systems; fresh graduates with a relevant bachelor's or master's degree are encouraged to apply.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience developing software interfaces with hardware components or instrumentation APIs.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for media test equipment and manufacturing test processes.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, multithreading or multiprocessing, socket programming, and computer networking.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment during software testing and debugging.

Nice to have

• PLC, Visual Basic, C++, AOI, QNX, Linux, desktop application development, and API development experience.
• Experience with Spotfire for data analysis.
• Knowledge of software qualification and release, version control, documentation, production issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience collaborating across engineering and production teams on feasibility studies, test requirements, and software design.
