What you will do
- Design and develop robotic and mechatronic hardware, including mechanisms, structures, end-effectors, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Own hardware development from concept and prototyping through testing, validation, production readiness, and manufacturing ramp-up.
- Collaborate with software, embedded, controls, robotics, manufacturing, and supplier teams on system integration and scalable production.
- Produce and release CAD designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot multidisciplinary issues and support DFM/DFA, sourcing, field deployments, and customer or partner technical discussions.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across development activities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, or mechatronic systems.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience owning a complex system from concept through deployment or production.
- Hands-on experience with mechanisms, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience working with embedded software, controls, and automation teams.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar CAD tools, plus strong analytical and cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, or robotic production systems.
- Experience with high-precision or high-reliability robotic systems, including hydraulics or pneumatics.
- Experience supporting production systems, field deployments, or customer-facing robotics platforms.
- Track record of taking robotic systems from prototype to production.
