Location: Waltham Office, United States; onsite

Salary: $154,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

  • Serve as the first technical point of contact for fleet-wide robot issues and monitor health, availability, telemetry, and mission readiness.
  • Triage failures across controls, software, hardware, networking, sensors, power systems, infrastructure, and operator workflows.
  • Analyze logs, telemetry, system behavior, and robot performance to form root-cause hypotheses and drive escalation.
  • Lead technical incident response, coordinating Software, Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Repair teams.
  • Identify recurring failure modes and improve diagnostics, health monitoring, automation, tooling, and fleet reliability.
  • Coordinate deployments, hardware upgrades, repairs, configuration management, and robot readiness validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting complex electromechanical products or technical operations.
  • Experience managing or supporting an operational fleet of robots, autonomous vehicles, industrial equipment, aircraft, ships, manufacturing systems, or similar complex assets.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems integrating software, controls, networking, sensors, and hardware.
  • Experience leading technical incident response or operational reviews.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, system diagnostics, and issue-tracking tools such as Jira or ServiceNow.

Nice to have

  • Experience with humanoid robots, autonomous systems, industrial robotics, or advanced automation.
  • Familiarity with controls systems, motion control, embedded software, or real-time systems.
  • Experience reading robot logs and telemetry, using Python or scripting for data analysis and automation, and developing operational playbooks.
  • Understanding of version control, software deployment, and configuration management.
