TL;DR
Production Planner (Photonics): Planning and controlling production schedules, material requirements, and the flow of materials and finished goods for optical and silicon manufacturing with an accent on capacity planning, inventory health, and supply availability. Focus on transitioning photonics products from development into pilot and high-volume production, managing NPI readiness, and solving production continuity and on-time delivery risks.
Location: Singapore
Company
is a well-funded startup developing photonics infrastructure for AI supercomputing, including optical interconnects and scalable photonic engines.
What you will do
- Plan, issue, and control production schedules and direct material requirements for optical and silicon production.
- Balance customer demand, master production schedules, shop load, material availability, and manufacturing capacity across photonics, silicon, and optical assembly operations.
- Monitor work-in-progress, inventory levels, supply availability, backlog exposure, and production constraints; develop recovery plans to protect customer commitments.
- Schedule equipment and personnel and prepare work orders or purchase requests for production components and parts.
- Coordinate manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, and demand planning activities.
- Support the transition of new optical and silicon products from development through pilot builds and high-volume production.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree.
- At least 4 years of supply chain, production planning, or materials planning experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience planning production in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of material flow, inventory management, and schedule control.
- Ability to analyze work-in-progress, supply availability, backlog risk, and production constraints to support on-time delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience in optical, silicon, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing, including NPI, pilot builds, and production ramp activities.
- Project management experience, a masterβs degree, APICS CPIM, PMP, or Six Sigma/Lean/DMAIC expertise.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments.
Culture & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance.
