Trading Applications Specialist (Fintech)

Location: London, Singapore, Houston, New York, or Montreal

Salary: Minimum base salary of $100,000 per year if located in New York, plus potential discretionary bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Perform start-of-day readiness checks and resolve failures before market opening.
• Monitor trading applications and execution strategies using proprietary observability frameworks.
• Carry out post-trade checks and resolve reporting issues.
• Manage incidents and outages affecting the trading environment while reducing production downtime.
• Onboard applications, services, and products into production.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate and optimize operational workflows.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
• Up to 4 years of experience in a similar buy-side or sell-side environment.
• Experience with Linux, Python, and Bash.
• Knowledge of at least one asset class, such as equities, fixed income, or derivatives.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to work in a global team.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and solve unfamiliar problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with kdb+/q, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with the FIX protocol.
• Understanding of TCP/IP concepts.
