Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure for satellite testing and space operations.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code provisioning, and deployment workflows.
• Lead cloud architecture and resource scaling in a hybrid cloud environment, initially connecting cloud, network, software, and hardware infrastructure.
• Own the observability stack, including metrics, tracing, and logs, to improve system usability and performance.
• Partner with developers, test engineers, satellite operators, and IT to establish SatDevOps practices and improve engineering workflows.
• Investigate reliability incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes across software-defined networks and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes architecture, deployment, operations, and resource optimization.
• Experience designing highly available systems and implementing observability stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Go, Python, Rust, C/C++, or Java.
• Strong DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation, networking, and systems administration experience.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps frameworks such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cost-optimized cloud architectures.
• Experience with orchestration in resource-constrained environments, including space systems.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, systems engineering tools, SDLC governance, and cybersecurity practices.
