Automation QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid workstyle with regular office attendance; office-based work in Japan

Salary: Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments; amount based on skills, experience, and abilities

What you will do

• Analyze testing requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and cases for mobile applications, web applications, APIs, and AI/ML systems.
• Prepare test data, tools, and environments; execute automated and manual test cases; and document results.
• Track, verify, and report defects while recommending solutions and maintaining regression coverage.
• Validate LLM-driven applications using prompt engineering and RAG techniques, including checks for bias, drift, hallucinations, accuracy, robustness, and performance deviations.
• Integrate OpenAI APIs, LLM models, key management, and MCP servers into secure test automation workflows.
• Act as a subject matter expert, contribute to QA standards and continuous improvement, and support junior QA engineers through onboarding and training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests for mobile applications, web applications, and/or APIs.
• Professional experience with at least one of Appium, Selenium, or Rest-Assured.
• Proficiency with Cucumber and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of microservices testing, technical requirements analysis, test strategy design, and detailed test case creation.
• Hands-on experience with NotebookLM, Gemini, Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI APIs, embeddings, LLM workflows, and MCP server concepts.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with regular office attendance in Japan.

Nice to have

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification and experience in Agile environments.
• Financial or payments domain experience.
• Performance testing with Gatling, wrk, or JMeter.
• Docker, Kubernetes, bash, CLI scripting, or application development experience.
• Experience standardizing QA processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
