Global Accounting Director (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Paris, France, with 3 days per week in the Paris office near the Opéra Garnier.

What you will do

• Lead the global accounting function across EMEA, the US, and Singapore.
• Own month-end and year-end close governance, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, review standards, and continuous close improvement.
• Set and document accounting policies covering revenue recognition, contract modifications, commissions and cost capitalization, FX, leases, share-based payments, and intercompany transactions.
• Own external audit planning and delivery, maintain year-round audit readiness, and coordinate with tax, payroll, corporate secretarial, and other external advisors.
• Oversee subscription revenue accounting, billing, deferred revenue, cut-off, order-to-cash controls, consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency translation.
• Build scalable processes, strengthen risk management and internal controls, shape finance tooling improvements, and lead accounting team development.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a multi-entity environment; SaaS or technology experience is preferred.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, including revenue recognition, commissions and cost accounting, consolidation, intercompany accounting, and FX.
• Experience leading external audits, strengthening controls, and maintaining audit-ready documentation and evidence.
• Hands-on experience with monthly and annual consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and group reporting.
• Systems orientation and experience improving ERP and adjacent finance tooling.
• Fluent professional English, written and spoken, is required for daily communication with international stakeholders, auditors, and advisors.
