Senior Software Engineer (Robotics/AI)

Location: On-site in Redwood City, CA

Salary: $170,000 – $250,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and ship internal tools for site bring-up, robot configuration, fleet monitoring, and remote diagnostics.
• Partner with the Operations team to standardize deployment workflows and improve reliability.
• Build data pipelines that route failure cases from the fleet back to research teams.
• Participate in applied research focused on model-level stability in unpredictable environments.
• Architect end-to-end infrastructure bridging on-robot software with large-scale cloud operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a versatile software engineer.
• Strong CS foundations and proficiency in the Python ecosystem.
• Experience building robust software spanning cloud backend services and edge devices.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience tackling model stability and edge-case handling in real-world deployments.
• Prior work building internal tooling for fleet operations or large-scale field systems.
• Familiarity with Unity, C#, VR development, or web frontend technologies.
