Sr Analyst - Merchant Network Strategy & Analytics

Location: Chicago, Illinois, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office

Salary: $115,000 per year in Illinois. New York salary structure: $128,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze complex datasets across merchant network operations, fraud prevention, customer care, logistics, and business performance.
• Build and maintain connected dashboard and reporting ecosystems using Tableau, Redash, and related data visualization tools.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business requirements into actionable analysis, recommendations, and reporting solutions.
• Track recurring KPIs, investigate variances and anomalies, and communicate findings to leadership.
• Develop financial models and scalable reporting frameworks to support resource allocation, cost optimization, and growth.
• Establish a consistent company-wide source of truth for metrics while mentoring junior analysts and improving analytical processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with data modeling, cleaning, transformation, analysis, reporting, and data quality management.
• Strong business acumen, financial modeling skills, strategic problem-solving ability, and experience presenting insights to senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python for data analysis, modeling, automation, or data pipeline optimization.
• Understanding of regression analysis, hypothesis testing, forecasting, or related statistical techniques.
