Senior Filmmaker

What you will do

• Lead complex film projects from pre-production through final delivery, including animatics, filming, and editing.
• Direct major shoots and multi-day production initiatives.
• Provide creative direction to staff, contractors, cast, crew, and production partners.
• Deliver emotionally resonant visuals and edits that establish quality benchmarks and reflect YouVersion brand standards.
• Improve production workflows and storytelling approaches.
• Mentor junior filmmakers and communicate across creative and production roles.

Requirements

• Advanced cinematography, lighting, directing, and editing skills.
• Strong on-set leadership, editorial judgment, communication, and independent decision-making.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex film work across varied formats, audiences, and production scales.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Visual Arts, Mass Communications, or a related field is preferred.
