What you will do
- Participate in a structured network engineering project under the supervision of Global Network Services engineers.
- Gather, analyze, and visualize network operational data.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
- Apply AI/ML concepts to network operations and observability use cases.
- Document network infrastructure, procedures, and project findings while creating dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data analytics teams, then present project outcomes and recommendations.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Data Science, or an equivalent field.
- Internship or co-op commitment of at least 4–6 months.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and network monitoring.
- Basic scripting or automation skills, preferably Python or Bash; familiarity with PowerShell is relevant.
- Awareness of SNMP, Syslog, dashboard tools, data analysis, visualization, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Good English proficiency in written and verbal communication, along with analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and presentation skills.
