Focus on reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing account fluctuations, and enforcing accounting policies under strict reporting deadlines.
Location: Mexico, in office; the role supports a Mexicali team. Travel requirement: 10%.

What you will do
- Manage general ledger close activities within the ERP accounting system.
- Lead a team of accountants, reviewing processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate account fluctuation analysis and reporting with financial leadership.
- Manage SOX compliance and key controls across general accounting areas.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors on annual audits and quarterly audit schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reporting packages and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 10 years of accounting experience.
- Proven experience managing an accounting team.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP and the ability to work under strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong facilitation, conflict-resolution, strategic, operational, and detail-oriented skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and NetSuite ERP platforms.
- CPA certification or an MBA.
