Software Engineer - Customer Integration (Network) (Automotive Ethernet)

What you will do

• Develop high-performance C/C++ embedded software for Automotive Ethernet, including EHAL, switch firmware, drivers, and control logic.
• Design and maintain in-vehicle network topologies, VLAN/QoS configurations, communication matrices, and ECU or switch bring-up.
• Configure and harden networks across Automotive Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, and LIN, including firewall, VLAN, and traffic-control settings.
• Diagnose integration issues and validate latency, jitter, bandwidth, timing, and connectivity using packet and protocol analysis.
• Build Python-based test cases and automation frameworks, maintain CI/CD pipelines, document integrations, and participate in safety-focused code reviews.
• Act as the technical owner and customer contact for network integration, supporting OEM architects and on-site partner test events.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of embedded software development or engineering experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills, including pointers, memory management, and data structures, plus solid Linux development and debugging experience.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Ethernet, with either established in-vehicle networking expertise or a strong embedded foundation and motivation to specialize.
• Experience or interest in Automotive Ethernet, TSN, SOME/IP, DoIP/UDS, CAN/CAN-FD, network security, and related low-level systems.
• Python scripting experience for test automation and willingness to balance development and QA work, potentially up to 50:50.
• Ability to work in the Pangyo, South Korea hybrid office arrangement and support on-site partner testing when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux DSA, PHY/MAC bring-up, gPTP/802.1AS, traffic shaping, MACsec, SecOC, and automotive gateway design.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, ASIL, MISRA C/C++, Coverity, Polyspace, or similar quality and safety practices.
• Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, PyTest, GoogleTest, Jira, Confluence, Git, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
