Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; in-office attendance required for 10 days per month

What you will do

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams, including feedback, coaching, delegation, performance management, and career development.
• Set team goals, align quarterly plans with stakeholders, and coordinate delivery across teams.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development, including Spec-Driven Development, approved AI tools, and focused pilots.
• Oversee architecture and technical excellence across React, Kotlin, Spring Boot, AWS, and microservices-based systems.
• Maintain operational health through incident response, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement of agile delivery practices.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and team growth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Experience leading multiple development teams building microservices in cloud-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of modern web architectures, preferably including React, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
• Proven interest or experience in AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, or integrating tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude into the software development lifecycle.
• Experience delivering long-term technical roadmaps and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
• Expertise in RFCs, ADRs, pair programming, automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
