Senior Payments Strategist (Fintech)

Location: San Diego, United States. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required, with flexibility to attend meetings across time zones.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, excluding other compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Define payment initiatives and translate hirify.global operating company needs into scalable platform priorities.
• Own payment relationships for assigned hirify.global operating companies and maintain payment success plans.
• Support onboarding readiness, payment assessments, PSP and alternative payment method setup, and repeatable configuration patterns.
• Analyze payment performance, conversion, cost, and operational data to develop actionable recommendations.
• Lead payment performance reviews, service discussions, escalations, and issue resolution across hirify.global teams and external providers.
• Identify optimization opportunities and collaborate with product, engineering, operations, risk, fraud, and data science teams on platform improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of payments experience in a digital ecommerce environment with demonstrable results.
• Experience with payment optimization, complex payments contracting, PSP and payment method management, and payment operations.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret payment data and present recommendations.
• Experience managing complex relationships across internal teams, external partners, and enterprise customers.
• Knowledge of payment regulation, card schemes, processors, acquirers, card networks, and alternative payment providers.
• Ability to work independently, lead senior-stakeholder meetings, and operate across geographically and commercially diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in the video games or digital entertainment industry.
• Experience with multi-tenant, platform, marketplace, or payment orchestration environments.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering, operations, risk, or fraud teams on payment initiatives.
