Location: Christchurch, New Zealand — on-site. Travel requirement: 10–15%.

The role is part of Caterpillar Control Technologies, a joint venture developing positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines.
What you will do
- Drive product vision and strategy for data interoperability solutions across and Caterpillar ecosystems.
- Translate customer needs into product requirements and API integrations with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee multi-project initiatives, mentor team members, and build partner relationships.
- Define data integration models that protect data integrity and security while supporting business outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and platform adoption to refine product strategy and customer value.
Requirements
- Experience in product management, platform development, or technical account management for cloud or IoT solutions.
- Understanding of API governance, integration technologies, and data transformation concepts.
- Strong communication skills and experience turning complex needs into actionable strategic plans.
- Ability to guide cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex organizations.
- Ability to work on-site in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive or construction data-sharing standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of machine control platforms or grade control technologies.
