Frontend Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid workstyle in Japan; office attendance is expected in alignment with organizational guidelines and team objectives.

What you will do

• Implement web frontend features with Product Managers, Designers, and technology teams.
• Build features that change how people in Japan use and manage their finances and businesses.
• Share knowledge, participate in code reviews, and provide feedback on engineering best practices.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience developing secure web frontend applications using JavaScript or other languages that transpile to JavaScript.
• At least 1 year of industry experience with Vue.js or React.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and computer science fundamentals.
• Business-level English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend performance monitoring and optimization.
• Experience with native iOS or Android development or React Native.
• Experience designing server-side RESTful APIs.
• Experience with web hosting infrastructure such as CDNs.
