TL;DR

Game Artist (iGaming) (2D game art): Creating polished 2D art assets for online games with an accent on character design, environments, UI elements, animation, and promotional graphics. Focus on optimizing artwork for HTML5 and mobile delivery, creating Spine-based animations, and maintaining visual quality across varied styles and production pipelines.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work

What you will do

Create high-quality 2D art assets for online games, including characters, poses, expressions, environments, backgrounds, matte paintings, and textures.
Design UI elements, symbols, logos, menus, and other visual components aligned with project goals and brand guidelines.
Create Spine-based animations for characters, objects, and effects, as well as promotional assets and motion graphics.
Optimize assets for HTML5, online, and mobile game delivery using WebP, TexturePacker, and similar tools.
Collaborate with artists and contribute expert input on artistic quality, visual consistency, and production workflows.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in 2D game art and a strong portfolio.
Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and strong drawing, sketching, anatomy, perspective, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling skills.
Experience creating visual concepts in different styles and optimizing assets for online and mobile delivery.
Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, game development pipelines, and production tools.
Good knowledge of Adobe Firefly or the Adobe Photoshop AI assistant.
Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

Understanding of animation principles and rigging.
Familiarity with 3D tools and workflows.
Experience in casino gaming or interactive entertainment.
Familiarity with AI-powered art tools such as Layer.ai.
