Software Engineer, Rust (Fintech): Building and maintaining Rust-based integrations between practice management systems and Nelly backend systems with an accent on platform-agnostic applications, high performance, and transaction-based backend systems. Focus on modelling data and APIs, defining architecture and best practices, and integrating resource-constrained on-site healthcare systems with the Nelly platform.
Location: Berlin, Germany — hybrid setup with flexible working hours

is building an AI-driven financial operating system for European healthcare, combining administrative automation, billing, patient workflows, and next-generation payments.
What you will do
- Build and maintain connections between practice management systems and backend systems.
- Develop Rust-based applications ranging from locally running clients to transaction-based backend systems.
- Design integrations for on-site practice management systems with limited resources.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering best practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to take ideas from concept to customer impact.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Strong coding skills in Rust.
- Proficiency in data and API modelling.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle.
- Strong team-player mentality.
- Proficiency in English required; German knowledge is a strong plus.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
- Experience with Windows Native APIs.
