Senior Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Build and evolve the platform infrastructure supporting backend, ML, data, and product engineering teams.
• Develop internal AI tooling, engineering guardrails, golden paths, and paved roads that help teams ship safely and quickly.
• Shape AWS cloud architecture while balancing delivery speed, cost, reliability, security, and operational simplicity.
• Harden cloud environments across IAM, network policy, secrets management, and software supply chain security.
• Improve observability, incident tooling, core compute, orchestration, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code automation.
• Participate in architecture discussions and on-call operations while mentoring engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Deep experience building and operating AWS environments at scale.
• Strong knowledge of container orchestration, cloud networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, and production platform engineering.
• Experience building developer platforms, golden paths, paved roads, or internal engineering tooling.
• Hands-on experience hardening cloud environments and treating security as a core platform responsibility.
• Ability to build observable, testable, and debuggable systems, communicate clearly across teams, and work effectively through ambiguity.
• Availability for an on-call rotation and experience responding to incidents and implementing preventative measures.

Nice to have

• Terraform experience at scale.
• Experience building AI agents or AI-assisted tooling in production.
• Backend product development experience.
• Degree in software engineering or an equivalent qualification.
