Focus on designing scalable security controls, leading complex investigations, building automated response tooling, and supporting reliable operations through a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Location: Auckland, New Zealand; office-first and on-site by default

What you will do
- Define and operate application security practices across mobile code, backend systems, infrastructure, and collar firmware.
- Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate vulnerabilities, threats, and security risks across the platform.
- Research and create threat models for application and infrastructure security.
- Develop security tooling and high-quality code to resolve vulnerabilities across infrastructure and application layers.
- Lead security investigations, incident response readiness, playbook development, detection, analysis, and resolution.
- Partner with engineering teams, vendors, and third-party assessors while providing security mentorship and education.
Requirements
- Deep experience with security practices and scaling secure systems to millions of end users.
- Hands-on technical expertise across application, infrastructure, mobile, backend, and firmware security.
- Experience with AWS managed and self-managed services and infrastructure as code.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to 24/7 reliability and availability, including participation in a 24/7 security on-call rotation.
