Platform Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Veszprém, Hungary (in-person) or Hungary (hybrid/remote)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate highly available and secure Kubernetes clusters on AWS, including EKS and self-managed environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks with Python, Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible.
• Define platform standards for observability, cost management, and incident response.
• Support application teams running containerized workloads and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Provide scalable tooling for customer onboarding, integrations, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration, Helm, RBAC, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, and RDS.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and internal tool development.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of multi-account AWS strategies, AWS Organizations, and enterprise landing zone patterns.
• Collaborative mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Istio service meshes, traffic policies, and mutual TLS.
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with container security and policy tools such as Falco, Trivy, OPA, or Kyverno.
• Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch observability stacks.
