Junior Electronic Trading Support Engineer (Electronic Trading)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; Dublin, Ireland; or New York, New York, United States. Support live trading during US market hours.

Salary: USD 100,000–150,000 per year, or local equivalent, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Support live trading during US market hours and help ensure a smooth trading day.
• Manage order flow from trading desks and respond to external market alerts and outages.
• Configure, monitor, debug, and optimize the production trading platform.
• Act as the first line of defense for trading and systems issues.
• Interface with exchanges and other external parties to support trading.
• Coordinate technical rollouts of new trading strategies and manage related initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Working knowledge of UNIX systems.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Understanding of market data and order entry systems, or a strong interest in modern electronic markets.
• Excellent communication skills, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Nice to have

• Industry experience.
• Series 7 or Series 57 certification, where applicable.
• Recent graduates with relevant knowledge may be considered.
