Tax Accountant

What you will do

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Analyze financial information to identify tax-saving and tax-reduction opportunities.
• Support clients with tax planning strategies and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and assist with tax audits.
• Review and reconcile financial statements while maintaining strong client and colleague relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, attention-to-detail, and accuracy skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
