Associate Data Scientist (AI/Fintech)

What you will do

• Translate product and business questions into testable hypotheses, success metrics, and repeatable analysis templates.
• Design, analyze, and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experiments while improving tracking, guardrails, and experiment quality.
• Build actionable predictive and segmentation models, including churn propensity, risk signals, and customer clustering.
• Prototype safe LLM-powered analytics workflows, define evaluation methods, and validate AI-assisted outputs.
• Create reusable datasets, feature tables, notebooks, dashboards, services, and reliable data pipelines.
• Validate data, monitor metrics, investigate anomalies, and document assumptions and sanity checks.

Requirements

• Fresh graduate or less than one year of relevant experience; internships, capstone projects, and part-time roles count.
• Strong SQL fundamentals, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• Programming skills in a data-focused language, preferably Python, including dataframe manipulation, statistics, and basic regression or classification.
• Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to define problems, validate data, and explain results clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to reliable outputs, and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Emirati nationality is required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to experimentation tools such as Statsig, Optimizely, or internal experimentation platforms.
• Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, scikit-learn, notebooks, Git, or basic MLOps.
• Understanding of LLM concepts, prompting, retrieval/RAG, evaluation, product analytics, funnels, cohorts, retention, and causal pitfalls.
• Experience creating AI-ready data assets and applying responsible data-handling practices, including PII awareness and access controls.
