What you will do

• Build, configure, and operate complex robotics simulations for benchmarking and evaluation.
• Design reproducible experiments and conduct systematic ablation studies to validate control and learning approaches.
• Analyze sim-to-real transferability and identify gaps in dynamics, sensor noise, and contact models.
• Calibrate simulation parameters to ensure maximum physical realism.
• Collaborate with ML and robotics teams to define quality thresholds and present technical results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in robotics simulation or model-based evaluation.
• Strong expertise in MuJoCo and experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim or PyBullet.
• Proficiency in robot and environment modeling (URDF, MJCF, USD) and understanding of robotic dynamics.
• Experience with Python-based toolchains and automation of simulation tests.
• Must be able to work on-site in Metzingen / Riederich.
