What you will do
- Create and review installation manuals, operation and maintenance guides, software user manuals, technical bulletins, release notes, SOPs, and product change documentation.
- Document hardware, firmware, and software components of solar tracker systems for installers, engineers, operations teams, and customers.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user-friendly content.
- Coordinate illustrations, diagrams, multimedia, CAD-related materials, and technical product marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, field services, QA, training, marketing, quality, supply chain, procurement, planning, and construction teams.
- Improve CMS, PLM, DCO, version control, localization, online help, mobile-access content, knowledge bases, review workflows, and documentation quality metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, including documentation for complex electromechanical or industrial hardware and its relationship to software.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with fluent spoken and written English.
- Experience with documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Confluence, XML/DITA, or equivalent authoring and publishing tools.
- Knowledge of CAD drawings, electrical schematics, field deployment practices, documentation standards, and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
- Experience managing documentation projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines in a fast-paced technology company.
Nice to have
- Experience with solar tracker systems or renewable energy equipment.
- Multilingual documentation or localization experience.
- PMP or Agile certification.
- Experience with SolidWorks Composer, Arena, NetSuite, or Salesforce.
