Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Helsinki, Finland; presence in the Helsinki office is required 3 days per week

What you will do

• Build, operate, and improve self-hosted Kubernetes platforms across deployment, automation, scaling, upgrades, and production operations.
• Maintain platform reliability through on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.
• Manage Kubernetes networking, observability, storage, platform services, security hardening, and access controls.
• Develop infrastructure automation with Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience, deployment processes, and operational efficiency.
• Operate Linux systems, container platforms, and distributed infrastructure while contributing to platform standards and documentation.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience operating production Kubernetes environments.
• Strong end-to-end experience managing self-hosted Kubernetes clusters, including operations, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with on-call rotations, production incident management, infrastructure automation, Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Solid Linux administration and debugging skills, with experience in containerized and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Understanding of Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, platform security, and cluster access controls.
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, Go, or a similar language, plus strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rancher, Cilium, Kubernetes security policies, and cluster hardening.
• Experience with GPU workloads, AI/ML infrastructure, or NVIDIA container runtimes.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, operators, and other Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, storage, and high-availability environments.
