Business Operations Generalist (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own founder- and leadership-assigned special projects from kickoff through delivery, driving decisions and cross-functional initiatives.
• Build operational capabilities from scratch, including billing, revenue operations, business development support, and operating cadences.
• Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to develop actionable recommendations and model business tradeoffs.
• Support business development through research, outreach, deal tracking, and preparation for founder-led conversations.
• Support end-to-end recruiting, including sourcing, outreach, interview coordination, work trials, candidate relationships, and recruiter management.
• Maintain administrative infrastructure covering payroll, expenses, vendor payments, invoicing, real estate, leases, and office setup.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience at a top investment bank, consulting firm, private equity firm, or in an analytical strategy or operations role.
• Ability to build processes and operational capabilities from the ground up in environments where no playbook exists.
• Strong analytical judgment, including financial modeling, quantitative analysis, qualitative research, and data-backed recommendations.
• High ownership, resourcefulness, clear communication, and the ability to execute across multiple functions.
• Technical fluency sufficient to work credibly with engineering and research teams.
• Interest or experience in AI, data, or technology-related industries.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage startup in an operator or Chief of Staff-adjacent role.
• Experience launching customer-facing programs, billing systems, or revenue operations from zero.
• Experience across operations, strategy, finance, go-to-market, product, or recruiting.
