Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Akrites (Cybersecurity)

Location: Entirely remote. Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Securely deploy applications for the Akrites vulnerability processing pipeline.
• Maintain and evolve cloud and operational infrastructure.
• Design deployment, infrastructure, security, and audit policies and procedures.
• Develop software that improves infrastructure automation and security.
• Lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews that produce lasting fixes.
• Contribute to dependent open source projects and collaborate across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Linux experience.
• 5+ years creating and managing cloud infrastructure.
• 8+ years of professional programming experience in a compiled language, with strong testing practices.
• Experience leading complex, cross-team technical projects from conception through production.
• Experience with security and audit requirements, incident response, escalation, and high-stakes decision-making.
• Ability to mentor or review more junior engineers and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Go, Python, GCP, and Terraform experience.
