Mid Fullstack Engineer (Java)

Location: Rijeka, Croatia; flexible hybrid work model with in-person collaboration, remote work, and flexible working hours.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot backend services within the Billing domain.
• Build and improve microservices that process and prepare billing-related data.
• Develop reliable, testable, and maintainable solutions with Java, Spring Boot, relational databases, and SQL.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Business teams, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to internal tools for product activation, configuration, pricing management, recommendations, and billing operations.
• Participate in React frontend tasks, code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience developing backend applications or microservices.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, RESTful services, and backend architecture.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with interest in business processes and operational workflows.
• Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, MSSQL, distributed systems, or service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, Jira, or Confluence.
• Interest in expanding technical and business knowledge.
