Head, Business Kenya (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own Kenya’s commercial OKRs, including customer satisfaction, market share, revenue, costs, and profit.
• Define the market strategy, product portfolio priorities, and go-to-market plans based on customer and competitor analysis.
• Lead and develop Business Leads responsible for payment acceptance, payment issuing, lending, savings, deposits, and cards.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, engagement, cross-sell, and upsell programs for merchants and SMEs.
• Manage partnerships with agent networks, aggregators, B2B channels, and integration partners.
• Build disciplined commercial operations with dashboards, analytics, and evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

• 10–20 years of professional experience, including senior-level P&L ownership.
• Proven leadership of large, multifunctional commercial teams.
• Experience in a technology company; fintech or digital financial services experience is preferred.
• Direct exposure to Kenyan or East African markets is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving scaled commercial growth in competitive markets.
• Strong analytical, strategic, entrepreneurial, and people-development skills, with the ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity.
