What you will do

  • Improve the learning pipeline for robust locomotion and loco-manipulation, from policy training through validated on-robot deployment.
  • Develop and deploy reinforcement learning and behavior cloning systems using simulated and real-world interactions.
  • Drive sim-to-real transfer through domain randomization, actuator modeling, and physics alignment.
  • Explore and adapt behavior foundation models, general motion tracking, and teleoperation methods for customer and internal use.
  • Collaborate with controls, hardware, and perception teams to integrate algorithms with robot hardware and sensors.
  • Run experiments and simulations to evaluate algorithm performance across scenarios.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++, with hands-on experience in ROS2 and robotic hardware platforms.
  • Experience developing and deploying reinforcement learning and behavior cloning algorithms for robotic systems.
  • Strong understanding of humanoid robot dynamics, control theory, and sensor integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, and/or MuJoCo, as well as PyTorch.
  • Perfect command of English and good German communication skills required.

  • Publications or contributions to robotics conferences and journals.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative robotics solutions.
