Associate Director, Procurement (Professional Services)

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $174,000–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute multi-year sourcing and category strategies for the $100m+ Professional Services spend category across hirify.global, Grubhub, and Blue Apron.
• Analyze spend, market trends, supplier landscapes, and benchmarks to identify consolidation, demand management, innovation, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Partner with senior executives and leaders in Legal, HR, Finance, and Technology to integrate procurement into project planning.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for high-value professional services agreements, SOWs, and MSAs.
• Establish supplier KPIs and governance, conduct business reviews, drive continuous improvement, and resolve escalations.
• Work with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to mitigate third-party contractual, financial, and operational risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive strategic procurement experience, including at least 5 years sourcing Professional Services.
• Experience managing and optimizing multi-million-dollar spend portfolios and complex relationship-driven categories such as consulting and legal services.
• Strong understanding of SOW structures, performance-based pricing models, and key legal terms.
• Advanced proficiency in data analytics and procurement technologies, with strong project management skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, analytical, and executive-influence skills.
