Sr. Manager, Synthetic Aperture Radar (Machine Learning)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States. Applicants must hold an active DoD Top Secret clearance and qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Salary: $200,000–$270,000 USD annually base salary, excluding benefits and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead development of automated target recognition software for moving and stationary objects in Synthetic Aperture Radar data.
• Manage radar subject-matter experts and machine learning engineers.
• Lead teams in delivering projects on time, within budget, and against technical performance measures.
• Create physics simulations of radar phenomenologies and develop methods to address simulation-to-real-world bias.
• Prepare technical proposals and support business development activities.
• Maintain communication with external stakeholders and facilitate communication across organizational levels.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Active DoD Top Secret government clearance required.
• Strong background in physics and/or electrical engineering.
• Expertise in SAR radar sensing phenomenology and signal processing.
• Real-world experience with deep neural networks and machine learning engineering.
• Ability to mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, build partner relationships, and resolve complex technical and business needs.
